Admissions

Packington Primary School is a thriving and popular Church of England school serving the Village of Packington.

Children normally start school in the year in which they turn five but mid-year applications from children moving to the area or from other schools will also be welcome if we have space available to accommodate them.  We have one Foundation Stage intake, in September.  Parents and carers need to apply for a place at our school via the local authority by mid-January and places are confirmed in April. It is important to apply on time to have the best chance of securing a place at your preferred school.

We hold open afternoons in the Autumn term on alternate weeks - please contact us to find out more.

Leicestershire County Council, the local authority, is responsible for the control of the admission of pupils to our school and this is co-ordinated by the Local Authority using a common application form and timetable.  Our school has a Pupil Admission Number (PAN) set by the Local Authority of 15 pupils per year group. You can view Leicestershire County Council's admissions and appeals policy here.

To apply for a place at our school please visit the local authority website Leicestershire County Council. The closing date for applications for children to start in Autumn 2024 is 12th January 2024.

If you do not have access to the internet at home you are able to access the internet for free at all Leicestershire Libraries. Any queries contact Leicestershire County Council on 0116 305 6684.
