Our PSHE Curriculum Plan

Come to Packington and have a “Creative Time”

“ I really enjoyed that.”

“Can we do it again.”

These were just some of the many positive comments we received from pupils and staff after our very first Creative Time Workshops.

So what is Creative Time?

Well once every half term every member of staff, as well as a few adult volunteers, organise a workshop for pupils based around a theme.  The children then sign up for the workshops that they are interested in and work in small mixed-age groups led by the adults.  Our first Creative Time was based on the theme of Festivals and included workshops on making salt dough ornaments, divas for Diwali, Rangoli patterns, rag rugs, Halloween spider pom-poms, gingerbread biscuits, aboriginal art, harvest bread plaits, a harvest dance and a festival banner.

Creative Time supports our aim to make education “MAGIC” for all our pupils, encouraging them to want to come to school, enjoy and achieve in a friendly family atmosphere.
